Mr. Robert Townsley is the Regional Technical Leader of the Accident Reconstruction group in Calgary, and has more than 8.5 years of engineering experience, specializing in Collision Reconstruction and analysis of Slips, Trips, and Falls. Robert investigates and analyzes vehicle incidents to determine impact orientations and locations, impact speeds, pre-impact speeds and movements, driver potential to avoid, and seatbelt use and effectiveness. Robert also routinely examines stairways, elevated surfaces, and doorways to determine compliance with the applicable versions of the Alberta and National Building Codes. As part of his work in both collision reconstruction and premises liability cases, Mr. Townsley regularly analyzes video footage to determine vehicle speed and positioning, incident timing, human actions, and the 3D locations of objects visible in 2D frames.
