About Luaay
Luaay Hussein is a Senior Project Engineer in the Civil/Structural Engineering Division with over 15 years of experience in planning, designing and directing the construction and maintenance of concrete, steel and wood structures (high-rise commercial and residential buildings, bridges, swimming pools, parking lots), and roadway infrastructures. Luaay also has extensive experience in managing different engineering projects carrying out detailed budget analysis, performance and project reviews, productive resource allocation including labour planning, and preparing cost and quotations to support project bidding and vendor recommendation and ensuring compliance with competitive purchasing policy as well as purchasing and tender procedures. In addition, he has experience with investigation and structural failure analysis using Finite Element Modeling. Luaay has comprehensive knowledge of design standards and codes (OBC, NBC, ACI, CSA A23.3, CSA S16-14, ANSI/AISC 360-05).
