Mr. Rick Anewalt has 29 years’ experience in the fire service, 18 of which were devoted to fire investigation. Mr. Rick Anewalt has 29 years’ experience in the fire service, 18 of which were devoted to fire investigation. He is a Certified Fire Investigator (CFI) and instructor (CI) with the International Association of Arson Investigators, as well as a licensed private investigator in South Carolina, North Carolina and Georgia. He has extension fire code knowledge and has obtained Certified Fire Inspector II and Fire Code Plans Reviewer through the International Code Council (ICC). He has investigated over 1700 fires in the public and private sector and was responsible for the technical review of over 2000 fire investigation reports while holding the positions of Deputy Fire Marshal, Regional Manager and Deputy Director. Mr. Anewalt has a strong electrical/mechanical background and attention to detail which contributes greatly to the success of determining the origin and cause of fires. He has testified as an expert witness in fire and explosion cases in both state and federal court.
