About Richard
Richard Kempster is a Forensic Consultant with Envista Forensics. He is responsible for investigating fires for origin and cause as a Fire Investigation Technician. In this role he has investigated or been part of the investigating team covering carious fires involving commercial structures, manufacturing facilities, vehicles, plant machinery and heavy industrial complexes. He also serves as the Evidence Custodian for the UK Envista Forensics Team responsible for the collection, packaging and handling of evidence from various disciplines including electrical, fire and mechanical losses. In his previous role determined extent of damage and contamination in IT Systems, data centres and machinery following damage caused by fire, flood and other disasters. As well as extent of damage he can also look at remediation, reinstatement and restoration options. This includes working alongside restoration companies and manufacturers to ensure that any restoration option also includes recertification and reinstatement of existing warranties. Prior to this role he was employed in a Research capacity assisting with cost validation and quantum, expert acquisition, and document analysis and review. In this role he assisted other Envista Forensic Engineers on a variety of projects from Origin and Cause, extent of damage and delay analysis.
