Envista Welcomes New District Manager and Five New Experts in April

31 May 2022

In the month of April, Envista welcomed five new experts and one new District Manager to our team. All of our new experts are additions to our growing Building Consulting/Construction groups in the US and Australia.

Meet Envista’s Newest Additions!

Aaron Vickers, BconMgt (Hons) AAIQS

Senior Quantity Surveyor (Sydney, Australia)

Aaron has over 20 years of experience in the building industry and over 17 years as a Quantity Surveyor. His background in pre-and post-contract quantity surveying services allows him to work with managing and developing quantity surveying national teams providing professional quantity surveying services, forensic quantity surveying consulting, and construction cost advice.

Fun Fact: The farthest I've traveled for an investigation was Far North Queensland in Australia after the Cyclone Yasi catastrophe. The most interesting investigation I've worked was preparing a value at risk assessment on St. Paul's, the oldest cathedral in Australia.

Alene Fultz

Senior Building Consultant, Building Consulting (Denver, CO)

Alene is a Senior Building Consultant with over 16 years of experience in residential and commercial construction. She has successfully managed hundreds of reconstruction and remodeling projects. Her experience includes all facets of the reconstruction process from initial design, contractor procurement, and site management to invoicing, billing, and final product. At Envista, Alene utilizes her knowledge of design, construction/reconstruction, and project management to work directly with adjusters on large commercial losses, large residential loss claims, and appraisal services.

Fun Fact: When I was a kid, I wanted to be a pediatric neo-natal doctor. As a Building Consultant, I am mostly drawn to the appraisal work that we have been assigned. While most people find appraisals to be contentious, I thrive on being a fair and unbiased appraiser for the carrier.

Chris Sims

Senior Building Consultant (Sydney, Australia)

Chris is a Senior Building Consultant with over 10 years of experience in project management of comprehensive building inspections to identify and assess technical breaches and building defects. He is proficient at identifying cause, dilapidation, damage and design scope of works for reinstatement and repair including budget estimates and costings.

Fun Fact: My favorite part about being a building consultant in this industry is that every matter is different.  I once had to investigate the cause of a collapsing chimney from a wombat burrowing under the house.

Dustin Meyer

Senior Building Consultant (Detroit, MI)

Dustin is a Senior Building Consultant with over 20 years of experience in building consulting and insurance claims. His extensive expertise in the insurance industry, as well as his expertise in running his own construction consulting/estimating business for several years, enables him to complete thorough investigations for our clients. He is also Xactimate certified and holds other certifications relating to the public safety industry.

Michael Fultz

Principal Consultant, Building Consulting (Denver, CO)

Michael has over 40 years of experience in commercial and residential construction, successfully completing hundreds of reconstructions and new construction projects. His experience includes all phases of the construction process from initial design through final installation. Additionally, he has provided cost estimates and building consultant services for residential and commercial losses, large property losses, and specialty claims for major insurance carriers. As a Building Consultant since 2013, Michael has provided appraisal services in over 450 claims for fire, flood, freeze, hail, wind, and water intrusion.

Fun Fact: I currently provide building consulting services to the Rocky Mountain region but if given the opportunity, would love to work outside the US, especially in Europe and Asia.

Shane Oates

District Manager (Sydney, Australia)

Shane is a District Manager with over 18 years of experience in building management, construction, and re-construction for insurance-related work and repairs resulting from structural or building defects, natural disasters, and construction failures. He has managed jobs ranging up to $3.5 million and has held consulting, superintendent, and expert witness roles serving the insurance/legal industries. Shane has experience supervising and mentoring of teams up to 20 people including engineers, project managers, supervisors, builders, and trades.

Fun Fact: I had the opportunity to travel to New Zealand to assist in carrying out building inspections for an insurer for residential buildings that were damaged in the Christchurch earthquake. The longest stint over there was three weeks at a time with a week back home in between. This went on for nine months.
