CHICAGO – July 9, 2019 – Envista Forensics, a global, multi-disciplinary forensic consulting firm, announced they have expanded their focus on subrogation and liability and have appointed two skilled leaders to head the growth strategy, Bryan Maphet, EVP Subrogation & Liability Practice Leader and Complex Major Claims, and Laura Whitten, National Account Executive, Subrogation & Liability.

Bryan Maphet has worked on some of the largest subrogation cases around the globe for the last four decades. His counterpart, Laura Whitten, previously of Liberty Mutual, has worked numerous large loss subrogation matters over the course of the last 15 years. Both bring a massive amount of experience to this newly expanded focus for Envista in order to aid clients in the investigative process by efficiently identifying origin, cause, and any/all potential contributing factors.

“After a huge loss, most parties can easily become preoccupied with what needs to happen immediately in terms of restoring to pre-loss condition, but our job is to help them focus on the larger picture as well, as the most critical part of the investigation needs to be considered at the very onset of the catastrophe,” said Maphet.

The team at Envista is comprised of experts from various disciplines to create one global team capable of working on a wide variety of cases. Envista’s engineers and experts provide investigation on matters and large losses related to:

  • Civil/Structural failures, construction defects, roofing or water intrusion
  • Digital forensics and cyber security
  • Electrical or mechanical failures
  • Energy, refineries, turbines and power plants
  • Equipment failures
  • Fires, explosions, flame spread analysis, fire protection, sprinkler or alarm failures
  • Product liability
  • Healthcare and bioscience
  • Marine and cargo losses
