Envista Forensics Hires Scott G. Nacheman as Practice Leader Major Loss

Chicago – 09 June 2020

CHICAGO – June 9, 2020 – Envista Forensics, a global forensics engineering and consulting company announced today that Scott G. Nacheman, MSc.Eng., AIA will join their Major Loss group as Practice Leader.

“Scott’s been a part of some absolutely massive and well-known events from the United States to New Zealand,” said Mark Ewing, Group Director of Envista Forensics’ Major Loss Group. “He has a unique background in that he has a wealth of experience in civil engineering, design and architecture, but also has significant emergency management, first responder and post-incident investigations experience. Scott has the ability to excel as a leader in these situations given the multi-disciplinary nature of major losses.”

Nacheman is a forensic architect and civil engineer who has lead investigations and directed teams on countless complex losses and major catastrophes at both global engineering firms and construction consulting companies.

“My diverse background has helped me to quickly comprehend the big picture, depending on the nature and magnitude of an event,” Nacheman commented. “I have a passion for helping people, given my emergency response background, and that definitely comes out in situations such as CATs, major collapses, complex construction defect cases and even other legal disputes. I enjoy determining the facts and assisting clients through the disaster to repair and recovery.”

Envista’s Major Loss Group draws from their hundreds of global experts with highly specialized expertise. “They are a close group, and very collaborative,” said Ewing. “Challenging or complex losses are not new to any of these engineers or experts. They’re extremely comfortable in these situations because it’s what they do every day, and frankly what they do best.” Ewing goes on to add, “Placing the right expert on the right job can make a lot of difference, and when you can lean on the immense network of technical experts Envista has assembled you’re bound to find the right one.”

For Nacheman, he’s excited to get to lend his vast expertise to a growing group of complex loss experts. “I’ve had the privilege to collaborate on some significant incidents in the past such as ground zero after 9/11, the Indiana State Fair collapse, the Christchurch earthquakes, Hurricane Katrina, and a number of others,” said Nacheman. “These assignments are exhilarating, and yet also mentally and physically challenging. It’s so important to have a great team around you. We have established a fantastic team here, and we continue to expand our footprint and breadth of expertise.  I see the jobs that come through the doors, and I’m excited for the opportunities and to continue my career with Envista.”
