Gabriel De Carcer has been with Envista since April 2021. As Managing Director of Mexico and the Caribbean region, Gabriel is responsible for continuous growth and development of the forensic engineering consulting services in Mexico, LATAM, and the Caribbean, mainly in the manufacturing, oil and gas, energy, construction, and infrastructure sectors.
Prior to joining Envista, Gabriel had held various positions within the insurance industry. He has over 20 years of experience in handling losses and over 10 years working in CAT adjustments and response, especially with hurricanes, tropical storms, floods, and earthquakes. Gabriel is specialized in loss adjustment and CAT response, including hydro-meteorological phenomena and earthquakes risks. His prior roles include Claims Manager at Tokio Marine Insurance Company, Senior Loss Adjuster at Abaco International Loss Adjusters, and Senior General Adjuster at Crawford & Company.
Gabriel earned his bachelor’s degree of Science in Geography from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de Mexico (UNAM). Additionally, he holds a Loss Adjuster Certification issued by the National Insurance and Surety a Commission of Mexico (CNSF), a Leadership Diploma issued by Great Place to Work, and a Business Communication Skills Diploma, issued by the American Management Association. Gabriel's thesis, “Attention and Adjustment Process of Catastrophic Disaster Claims in Mexico” was published by Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico (UNAM).
