How long have you worked for Envista and what do you do?
I joined Envista in 2016 and provide fire investigations and failure analyses following mechanical and equipment incidents.
Before you joined Envista, what were you doing?
I’ve worked in the forensics industry for 20 years.
What is the most rewarding part of your job?
Walking away from a site inspection with a very good (maybe not perfect) understanding of the failure and the sequence of events that led to the failure. In addition, it’s extremely fulfilling to speak with a client at the end of an investigation and see that I’ve helped them understand what, in some cases, can be very complex technical issues.
What do you enjoy doing when you’re not working?
I am a cyclist, enjoying road, mountain, and adventure rides. I love the true escape and immersion of riding with a group (non-cyclists do not often get it). Cycling is actually a very social activity as you have a bunch of relative strangers who have to work together to achieve more collectively than they ever could individually!
