Practice Leader- Construction / Construction Defect Group in Denver, CO

Mr. Kadlec is the Practice Leader of the Construction & Defect Group with Envista Forensics in Denver, Colorado; in this role, Mr. Kadlec practices as an expert focused on construction defect claims and litigation, coordinates the intake and assignment of the group’s matters, provides mentorship and technical oversight internally, and educates clients and industry professionals externally. Initially a design engineer, he performed civil and structural engineering design of residential, commercial, marine, and industrial structures, including supervisory roles in design and technical oversight. Mr. Kadlec’s technical focus in forensic engineering includes performing investigations following fires, explosions, vehicular impacts, weather/catastrophe events, building envelope deficiencies, structural failures, and civil/earthwork failures. Further, his experience includes evaluations of alleged deficiencies in civil and structural engineering matters, specifically related to the design and construction of residential, commercial, industrial, marine, and multi-family projects. Mr. Kadlec regularly presents continuing education seminars on the topics of forensic engineering, expert witness testimony, and construction defect claims and litigation, which has included serving as a panelist at numerous industry conferences. Mr. Kadlec is a member of the National Society of Professional Engineers and American Society of Civil Engineers. As a licensed Professional Engineer in 18 states, and credentialed by NCEES as a Model Law Engineer, Mr. Kadlec has provided testimony through sworn affidavits, deposition, and trial as an expert witness.
