Mr. Paul Mullin is a Principal Consultant with over 27 years of electrical engineering experience with a unique focus in designing and testing electrical equipment and electronic systems for the HVAC and marine industries. With his considerable experience, he performs origin and cause investigations and failure analyses on electronic equipment losses, including renewable energy generation equipment, HVAC systems, computer, communications, and medical and power distribution equipment. As a consulting expert to the insurance and legal industries, Mr. Mullin has frequently been requested to share his knowledge at industry events on topics such as “Renewable Energy Equipment Claims,” “Power Transformer Failures,” “Smoke and Fire Contamination,” “Electrical Rewiring After a Loss Event,” and “Identifying Lightning Damage.” With his extensive engineering experience in the power industry, he has designed complete marine vessel electrical power systems, performed load analysis, and provided engineering duties for electrical power conversion and load management equipment. He has designed and developed products and controls for both land- and marine-based HVAC equipment to meet ISO 9000/2000 standards and has been responsible for the quality and failure rate of electronic products designed or specified.
