The course reviews the basic design and operation of steam turbines and gas turbines.  We will review current losses with turbines, develop and discuss successful strategies for losses. Once we have done that we will present several case studies involving turbine losses. 

Hydro-electric turbines and wind turbines are not discussed in this webinar.

The importance of turbine losses in today’s environment cannot be understated. Losses to this equipment is usually dangerous, expensive and commands a lot of attention. The losses can be complicated, formidable and challenging.

As the insurance industry continues involvement the business of the energy and power generation markets, the underwriters, sales managers and claims managers need to be aware of the specialized equipment and some of the unique situations that are involved with the losses of this equipment. 

Knowledge and understanding of the relationships of boilers, turbines and generators make underwriting and adjusting losses better for insurance companies and insureds.
