Performed forensic investigations of electrical equipment failures for the insurance industry to determine the origin and cause of the failures. Several of those forensic investigations have been litigated in Federal, State or Local courts, where I provided expert testimony for depositions or in trials.
Most recent forensic investigations included various electrical short circuits resulting in fires in commercial and residential properties. These forensic investigations involved in many cases performing radiographic tests to determine the failures in the internal electrical equipment components as well as analyzing the events that lead to those failures. The analysis includes reviewing electrical drawings and manuals, maintenance records and repairs that may have taken place prior to the failures.
Other forensic investigations included fatal accidents related to electrocution of workers such as in elevator and building electric service upgrades. The forensic investigations included review of electrical equipment drawings, manuals, upgrade procedures, autopsy reports, deposition transcripts and testifying in court as an expert.
