How did you get into the Forensic Consulting industry?
I worked in child care for 13 years and was looking for a change in my career. While I was very apprehensive to completely change fields, especially one I was not familiar with, I was ready. Once part of Envista, I was amazed at how quickly I enjoyed the job, staff, every-day changes, and interesting challenges our company resolves for clients.
What is the most rewarding part of your job?
I have come to understand the true devastation natural disasters can cause. From a hurricane to a simple lighting strike damaging your HVAC system, or snow causing your roof to collapse: we all need certainty during these times. Helping our clients through supporting internal staff to complete the task of providing the best customer service is truly a rewarding feeling. Envista strives for world class customer service and that is what we are built on.
What’s one of the most interesting projects you’ve been involved with as an employee at Envista Forensics ?
One of the most interesting projects I have been involved with was developing Envista's evidence procedure. Each office location stores large amounts of evidence from assignments and we are legally responsible to store, return or safely secure every piece we take into our possession. Within my first two years at Envista, I was fortunate to be able to visit a few different office locations and help organize the evidence being stored. Visiting each office and interacting with colleauges I normally just spoke to by phone or email was an exciting experience for me! In talking with our experts, I was able to learn more about the assignments that the evidence pertained to, and was amazed at how well the consultants could remember specific assignments after so many years. The amount and type of information our experts are able to determine from testing equipment and systems is truly fascinating! The wealth of knowledge contained within our staff is remarkable.
What is your favorite thing about working at Envista Forensics?
I have a lot of favorite things about working for Envista, but I would have to say our corporate culture is at the top of my list. I’m proud to say we truly have a family-like atmosphere and provide respect internally and externally. Having locations throughout the world provides so many opportunities for all employees, and I am thankful to be a part of this organization.
I love to bake and share with others, opposed to eating it. I find it a stress reliever for me and I enjoy making people happy by providing them with a baked goodie.
I am a huge Detroit Tigers fan and love to see them play at different ball parks.
I enjoy craft beer and visiting breweries. My uncles got me involved and I am the only niece who is part of their “club”
